The NCCSS Executive Board and Directors are pleased to share that the 2025 NCCSS Conference, which was postponed due to the Governor’s State of Emergency with the incoming winter storm, has now been rescheduled for April 24-25. The conference will take place at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Friday April 25, 2025 12:00pm - 12:50pm EDT
Who are the Hmong and how have they contributed to the culture and economic development of western North Carolina? In this presentation, participants will explore digital stories created by Hmong American community members, along with other public digital archives. We demonstrate ways that educators can use the digital stories and archives created by Hmong and Hmong American people to grow young students’ awareness the Hmong people and their history and presence in North Carolina.
