NCCSS Conference Dates - April 24-25

The NCCSS Executive Board and Directors are pleased to share that the 2025 NCCSS Conference, which was postponed due to the Governor’s State of Emergency with the incoming winter storm, has now been rescheduled for April 24-25. The conference will take place at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.

About me

North Carolina History Day, an affiliate of the National History Day® (NHD) program, is designed to inspire historical inquiry in middle and high school classrooms through hands-on discovery. Its framework fits within all Social Studies and ELA classrooms allows the study of world, national, and state history. An optional part of NHD is competition which opens students up to new opportunities, recognition and being able to develop key presentation and interview skills. It can be done as a class project, school club, or independent study.
