NCCSS Conference Dates - April 24-25

The NCCSS Executive Board and Directors are pleased to share that the 2025 NCCSS Conference, which was postponed due to the Governor’s State of Emergency with the incoming winter storm, has now been rescheduled for April 24-25. The conference will take place at the Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.

About me

UNCP's Social Studies Education program is committed to preparing social studies educators in public middle and secondary schools across the State of North Carolina. Our curriculum is designed to provide students with coursework in social studies education methods, inquiry-based learning, disciplinary literacy pedagogy, teaching with technology, and over 60 hours of field experience. Our MAT (designed for residency teachers!) and MA programs are now available fully online, in a combination of asynchronous and evening synchronous courses.
