About me
I am a public school educator with over 20 years of experience in middle and high school classrooms, specializing in social studies, personal finance, and project-based learning. As a National Board Certified Teacher and Master Teacher for NCCEE, I am passionate about empowering students, communities, and educators through innovative teaching practices and professional development. Beyond the classroom, I serve as a leader in nonprofit organizations and advocacy efforts. My work focuses on fostering equity, resilience, and opportunities for educators, students, and families. My EPF class at Burke Middle College will be featured in a piece about innovative personal finance education on NPR's Marketplace in early 2025.
