Linda K. Wertheimer is a veteran journalist and former education editor at the Boston Globe. She is the award-winning author of Faith Ed: Teaching About Religion in an Age of Intolerance. Over her nearly 30-year journalism career, she has reported for various publications, including The Dallas Morning News and The Orlando Sentinel. Her writings have appeared in prominent outlets such as The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Boston Globe Magazine, USA Today, and Time.
Faith Ed has received significant recognition, winning second place in the nonfiction religion book contest by the Religion News Association. Wertheimer's work has also earned awards from the Education Writers Association and other organizations. An engaging public speaker on the subject of teaching about religion, she has been featured on several NPR radio shows, including KERA's Think in Dallas, Radio Boston, and LA's Air Talk. Additionally, she participated in a nationally televised CBS program discussing religion and democracy.
