About me
Tim Hall, Ph.D., is a K-12 Social Studies Instructional Specialist with Vance County Schools and President of the North Carolina Council for the Social Studies. He also serves as Vance County Coordinator for the North Carolina Council on the Holocaust. Tim has authored several textbook supplements, curricula, standards, and popular history texts, including The Complete Idiot’s Guide to World History and The Complete Idiot’s Guide to the Middle Ages. As an educator, Tim has taught various social studies courses at the middle and high school levels, including AP World History, AP European History, and AP US History. In the summer of 2021, he participated in Harvard Divinity School’s Summer Institute for Educators. This past summer, Dr. Hall participated in the National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Institute: Religious Worlds of New York. Finally, he was recently honored as the 2021-2022 Vance County Teacher of the Year.
